July 2006

HL Hunley Camp The meeting was called to order and 1st Lt. Commander Willis welcomed members and guests. There were 40 members and guests attending and we were privileged to have Commander Julian Cheney and his guest attending from the General Ellison Capers Camp.

Monty Jones gave our invocation for dinner. David Mitchell and Dale Presley were in charge of our fine meal and it was given at no charge to all.

After dinner we had the pledge, salutes, and Joe read the charges given to us by Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee in 1906.

Adjutant Rick Andrews was out from knee surgery, so 2nd Lt Commander Monty Jones read the minutes of the last meeting.

John Couch our treasurer was present and gave us his report.

Monty Jones had no new applications to be voted on and Benjamin Bunting and Terry Rhodes two new members will be inducted at our next meeting.

We hope Rick is feeling better and has had a speedy recovery from his knee surgery.
